Oakfield Farm

Teaching-Clicker.co.uk is run from Oakfield Farm by Cherrie Harris and Nick Foot. We have been training and selling Icelandic Horses from here for many years and are now offering training in the methods we use.

We have both worked with Alexandra Kurland and have done many courses with her and our work is based on her teaching. She visits Oakfield Farm  each year as part of her teaching tour of Britain and we also attend at least 2 other of her courses each year.

Alex is visting Oakfield Farm again in June 2011. Click here for details

Nick has also done riding and teaching courses with Mary Wanless and uses the body alignment and bio-mechaniics of her Ride With You Mind work in his teaching

Cherrie  does most of the Clicker Training while Nick works on the ridden side of horse work and specialises in helping nervous riders regain their confidence

We have been hosting "clicker gatherings" for people who have attended courses with Alexandra and have been helping people work through any problems they encounter. These will continue throughout the Autumn, Winter, and Spring each year. 2010/2011 dates are now available.

We are now offering training courses at Oakfield or your venue to help you learn the art and science of clicker training and the ground work and ridden exercises that go to make a civilised 4 legged person of your equine friend. These can be group lessons or individual lessons and can be done with your horse or one of ours. Please contact us for further details.
